i need to stop spoiling criminal minds for myself
its the year 3512 and people are still saying being vegetarian/vegan makes you anemic
No no no no no this is a COMPLETE misunderstanding of the Yin Yang Concept. The distinction between Yin and Yang is not something as simple and 2-D as “Good” and “Bad”, they represent two seemingly opposite and independent forces that are actually complementary and interconnected in the natural world. (Think “fire and water” or “push and pull”) The action of one will influence the action of the other, and the two cannot exist without each other. They are so close that in a way yin is yang and yang is yin.
So please stop reblogging this in an attempt to be profound about life because you aren’t and you’re insulting Chinese philosophy in the process.
its always me that starts a converstion to see when/how we’ll meet up, yet when it gets complicated and i suggest leaving it for the next day, he says i’m dull.. and doesn’t suggest anything else.
seriously -_-… it wouldn’t kill you to try to be creative..
########## SIGNAL BOOST THIS PLEASE!!! ##########
Kay, so, it just recently got to my attention that there is possibly a Tumblr Virus going around. And this post has so little notes, so I decided to make THIS BIG IMAGE and hopefully THIS will get your attention.
It is on the askmgc blog, whatever you do, don’t login. Do not login whatsoever.
It’s not actually confirmed it’s a virus, but here’s a few suspicious things:
- The url. I mean, shouldn’t it be a simple “tumblr.com/login” (and maybe a redirect.) Not tumblr.com.accounts.login.userid.###### etc?
- The background image doesn’t change, and it’s supposed to.
- "Blam"?? What? I don’t even know what to say about this but other than "game-over"? (Don’t worry, I put in fake credentials, obviously.)
So yeah, if you see this, do not log in at all.
Anonymous said: How did you develop such an original art style?
Hmm… well that is a good question my good sir! (Also as an aside I’m glad you think it’s unique honest thank)
I really struggled awhile back trying to find my own “style” and it really didn’t go very well and just made me really upset and frustrated so I just… stopped doing that. Which I learned later is a pretty solid approach to finding your style, stop worrying about it and just draw.
Once I stopped fretting over it, as I was drawing I started to look at some of my favorite works and decided what I liked about those artist’s styles. (my main inspirations are studio ghibli, chris sanders, and lulles). Like, specifically. Was it the noses? legs? how they made things move? When I pinpointed that, I tried to focus on that part of my own art (make cool noses, legs, or give the body more flow etc). And a lot of attempts at life drawing. I say attempts because they never turned out real good but it does help along.
… and I think thats how I reached whatever style I’ve got today. And it’s still changing (some time for better, usually for worse haha)
I keep seeing this reblogged uncritically and there’s a couple of things that should be addressed. Some muxes also identify as homosexual men, and some as trans women. Some do not co-identify with any Western identity, because there is no Western equivalent that encompasses all the same nuances “muxe” does. Muxes predate European colonization and, and they survived the violent suppression of similar identities across the New World. At the same time, the culture has had to adapt to the imposition of Catholicism and rigid European gender roles. There are a lot of articles about muxes that contain little or no commentary from muxes themselves. We should be very careful about blithely taking Western authors at their word, especially when they use phrases like “men who take on the traditional roles of women”, which demonstrates a shallow, racist, cissexist and colonialist approach to a facet of indigenous culture Westerners are poorly equipped to understand and reliably describe.
SAY IT AGAIN
